Penne Pasta with Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 lbAsparagus, raw
  • 8 ozMacaroni, dry, enriched
  • 1 tblsOil, olive, salad or cooking
  • 2 tspLemon peel, raw
  • 1/8 cupLemon juice, raw
  • 1 dashSalt, table
  • 1 dashSpices, pepper, black
  • 3 tblsNuts, pine nuts, pignolia, dried
  • 1/4 cupCheese, parmesan, hard

Directions

1. Trim asparagus and steam until tender, about 5 minutes. Slice cooked asparagus.

2. Cook pasta, drain, and place in a large serving bowl. Toss with oil.

3. Add asparagus and remaining ingredients, except cheese. Gently toss to mix.

4. Add cheese and mix. Serve.
