Directions

1. Set oven to 350F.
2. Line a square cake tin with wax paper. Mix together the butter and sugar in a bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating each well into the mixture.
3. Sift the flour and salt together. Fold in gradually with the milk. Add the fruit and the orange zest, mix well.
4. Spoon the mixture into the tin and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Turn onto a wire rack to cool and then cut into squares.
