1. Bring water to a boil in a large steamer.
2. Cut the squash halves into slices. Place them on the steaming platform.
3. Sprinkle with salt, white pepper, and tarragon.
4. Steam, covered, over medium high heat for 12 minutes, or until tender. Serve.
