Broiled Shrimp

Ingredients
| 2 lb | Crustaceans, shrimp, mixed species, raw |
| 1 tbls | Soy sauce made from hydrolyzed vegetable protein |
| 1/4 tsp | Spices, pepper, black |
| 3/4 cup | Cheese, cottage, nonfat, uncreamed, dry, large or small curd |
| 3 tbls | Milk, lowfat, fluid, 1% milkfat, with added nonfat milk solids and vitamin A |
| 2 tbls | Cheese, blue Diet
Diet Substitutes: Cheese, roquefort
|
| 1/8 tsp | Spices, pepper, black |
Directions
1. Peel and de-vein shrimp, leaving tails intact. Place shrimp in a shallow dish. Cover and chill.
2. Combine sugar and next 7 ingredients in a container of an electric blender. Cover and process until smooth.
3. Pour sugar mixture into a small saucepan. Place over medium heat. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Let mixture cool and pour over shrimp. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, turning the shrimp occasionally.
5. Meanwhile, combine cottage cheese and next 3 ingredients in the container of an electric blender. Cover and process until mixture is smooth. Spoon into a bowl. Cover and chill.
6. Remove shrimp from the marinade, reserving marinade.
7. Arrange shrimp in a single layer on a rack coated with cooking spray. Place rack in a shallow roasting pan.
8. Broil shrimp 5 inches from heat for 3 minutes. Turn shrimp over and baste with reserved marinade.
9. Broil an additional 5 minutes or until shrimp is done. Serve with the cottage cheese mixture.
