Broiled Marinated Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupSoy sauce made from hydrolyzed vegetable protein
  • 1 cupAlcoholic beverage, wine, dessert, dry
  • 1 tblsSpices, paprika
  • 4 cloveGarlic, raw
  • 1/8 tspSauce, ready-to-serve, pepper, TABASCO
  • 2 1/2 lbChicken, broilers or fryers, meat and skin and giblets and neck, raw
  • 1/2 cupOil, vegetable corn, salad or cooking

Directions

1. Combine the soy sauce, sherry, paprika, garlic, and hot pepper sauce in a bowl and pour over the chicken halves. Let stand for 2 hours, turning occasionally.

2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and brush each piece with oil. Broil, bone side to the heat, for 13 minutes.

3. Brush with the marinade and broil for 3 more minutes.

4. Turn and move the chicken a little farther from the broiling unit to prevent the skin side from blistering and burning.

5. Brush skin side with marinade and broil for 12 minutes. Brush again, and continue broiling until tender.

6. Suggested to serve with pasta.
