Ham with Maple Glaze

Ingredients
1/2 cup Syrups, maple 2 tbls Sugars, brown 3 tbls Alcoholic beverage, distilled, whiskey, 86 proof 1/2 tsp Spices, ginger, ground 1/2 tsp Spices, allspice, ground 6 lb Pork, fresh, leg (ham), whole, separable lean only, raw 1 clove Garlic, raw 2 tsp Salt, table 1 tsp Spices, pepper, black
Directions
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
3. Remove from heat and stir in ginger and allspice and let cool slightly.
4. Trim fat from ham. Spread 1/2 cup syrup mixture and garlic over surface of ham, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
5. Place ham on a broiler pan, and insert meat thermometer into thickest portion of ham.
6. bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 hours or until thermometer registers 160 degrees, basting with remaining syrup mixture after 1 hour. Place ham on a serving platter and cover with aluminum foil and let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
7. Suggested to serve with stuffing.
