Peppermint Candy Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1 cupCookies, chocolate wafers
  • 3 tblsMargarine, regular, unspecified oils, with salt added
  • 8 ozDesserts, gelatins, dry mix
  • 2 ozWater
  • 16 ozCheese, cream

  • 1/2 cupSugars, granulated
  • 1/2 cupMilk, fluid, 3.25% milkfat
    Diet

  • 2 ozCandies, E.J. BRACH'S, BRACH'S STAR BRITES Peppermint Mints
  • 1 cupCream, whipped, cream topping, pressurized
  • 3 ozCandies, sweet chocolate

Directions

1. Combine the crumbs and margarine; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. bake at 350F degrees, for 10 minutes. Cool.

2. Soften gelatin in water; stir over low heat until dissolved.

3. Combine the cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended.

4. Gradually add the gelatin, milk, and peppermint candy, mixing until blended. Chill until slightly thickened but not set.

5. Fold in the whipped cream and chocolate. Pour over crust. Chill until firm. Garnish with additional whipped cream combined with crushed peppermint candies, if desired.
