Acorn Squash with Cinnamon and Nutmeg

Ingredients
2 lb Squash, winter, acorn, raw 1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground 1/4 tsp Spices, cloves, ground 1/4 cup Butter, with salt Diet
3/4 cup Syrups, maple 1/2 tsp Spices, nutmeg, ground 1/2 tsp Salt, table 8 slice Pork, cured, bacon, raw Diet
Directions
1. Cut each squash in half; remove seeds and fibers.
2. Arrange the halves, cut side up in a large, shallow baking pan.
3. In a small bowl, blend together the syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and butter.
4. Spoon about 2 tablespoon of the mixture into the hollow of each squash.
5. Top with a piece of bacon. Add boiling water to pan, about 1 inch deep.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until tender, about 45 minutes or more and serve.
